Role Overview

At isix.ai, the SIEM Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing security monitoring and log management solutions across enterprise and cloud environments. This role focuses on building scalable detection capabilities, improving visibility, and ensuring efficient ingestion, correlation, and analysis of security events to support proactive threat detection and incident response.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage SIEM platforms and log management infrastructure
• Develop and optimize correlation rules, dashboards, and alerting mechanisms
• Integrate diverse log sources across network, endpoint, cloud, and applications
• Support SOC teams in incident detection, analysis, and response improvement
• Perform SIEM tuning, performance optimization, and use-case development
• Ensure log integrity, retention, and compliance with security standards
• Collaborate with security and engineering teams to enhance monitoring coverage

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–6+ years of experience in SIEM engineering or security monitoring
• Strong hands-on experience with platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar or similar
• Experience in log onboarding, parsing, correlation, and dashboard creation
• Knowledge of cloud logging and monitoring (Azure/AWS/GCP)
• Understanding of security operations, threat detection, and incident response
• Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Python, KQL, or similar) preferred
